Palatine Township

Township government is the oldest existing form of government continuing to serve in the United States. Often called "grass roots " government, it pre-dates the Constitution and is government that is closest to the people.

Illinois Government is a diverse environment designed to meet the needs of the community it serves. An integral part of that environment is the township – a form of government that is responsible for a wide range of local services, and fills in the gaps that other entities can miss.
